Gabled House

This single storied three-bedroom house is designed along a gabled axis which incorporates living and utility spaces. Bedroom extensions create and enfold outdoor living pockets, using timber decking and boardwalks to the east and west.

A separate workshop pavilion has been designed in keeping with the main house.

The exterior is kept minimal using simple vertical Colorsteel cladding with contrasts of silver top ash for visual warmth and texture.

Features include:

  • Open plan living, dining, kitchen with customised window seat and built in joinery to optimise space.

  • Sunny and sheltered outdoor spaces off living and bedrooms.

  • Polished concrete floor throughout open plan living.

  • North facing full height windows for light and views.

“We would highly recommend KLT Architects to anyone building a new home. We found that Keryn listened to our ideas and found ways to adapt these together with her professional input, the result being a great plan.

Working with someone that recognised and sought economic solutions without compromising design and ascetics gave us confidence that we had the right person working with us.

We have no hesitation in saying that you too will get a great result with KLT Architects.”
