Mayfield School

KLT has worked on a number of school upgrade projects, and we’re proud to have recently completed a revitalised and inviting school hall and Whanau Engagement Space for Mayfield School in Blenheim.

The original 1970's hall was positioned beside a group of modern, well-connected classrooms; however, its amenities had become outdated and no longer met the evolving needs of the school community.

To resolve this, we reconfigured the layout to better connect the hall with the central courtyard, introduced new low-level glazing and entry points for improved natural light and accessibility, and created a flexible, well-equipped whānau space that can be opened or closed off as needed.

The result is a light-filled, contemporary environment that integrates seamlessly with its surroundings and is ready to support the school’s vibrant community for many years to come.
