Woodland Cabin

Set on a remote and tranquil hillside, the brief for this forest retreat accommodation concept was to design a compact, one-bedroom cabin with a minimal, cost-effective footprint that could be easily replicated across the site. Each cabin would be carefully positioned to maximize the breathtaking coastal views, while maintaining harmony with the natural landscape.

The minimalist pod-style cabins are fully clad in vertical timber boards, with one side inverted to create a sheltered nook—an ideal spot to relax and take in the surrounding bushland and coastal scenery.

Taking a thoughtful and sustainable approach, any trees cleared for construction are milled locally to provide timber for both exterior cladding and structural framing wherever possible.
